I had the opportunity to photograph UK Classical Pianist James Rhodes at the Melbourne Recital Centre last Friday in a private photograph session before his 3rd and final Melbourne concert. Here is one of the photos. Will add others to the website. This is James at one with the Marcello Bach Adagio from Oboe Concerto in D Minor.

Also I've been continuing work on my Actors in Character portfolio - the latest... Jenny Wu as Miss Julie, in an adaptation of the original Strindberg play
2011 - July 2
I have reorganised and updated my website to reflect some of the work I have been doing this year. Please let me know what you think.
You can see the work I am doing with a range of artists - online is the beginning of my work with musicians and actors as part of a long range body of work I am calling The Creation Series.
So far you can see photographs made with Ray Chen the violinist (Taiwanese-Australian now based in the US) and actors Julia Billington (Sydney) and Troy Larkin (Melbourne).
One thing you won't see on the website is my new series La Poesia della Danza. I am very pleased to say this work will be exhibited at Harrison Galleries in Paddington Sydney in April 2012.
Images will be viewable online once the exhibition begins.
If you would like to be invited to the exhibition, please click here and send me an email so I can include you on the invitation list.
...oh yes, one more thing... Happy new financial year - may it be a strong year for the art world. May collectors abound and may everyone want art on their walls!
2011 - June 9
Another busy month. Sacred Spaces was very successful and from the comments by visitors the photographs along with the words from the participants made a difference within the communities of Trent hem, Daylesford, Greendale, Blackwood and surrounds. David and I thank the participants and thank the community too...
Art on Oxford was also a great success. "Cadenza", a work from my new series was on display. A venue for exhibition in 2012 is shortly to be announced!

Starting a new project this weekend with community of Trentham - exploring Sacred Space - introduction to project in conjunction with "Words in Winter" event at Red Beard Bakery Trentham, Sat 21 August 4-5pm
In the process of scanning photographs I have also scanned the first portrait I ever made - one I took of my father about 1979... also one of first prints I ever made, with a tiny Durst and help of my brother in the makeshift "darkroom" under our house - F8 @ 11seconds

Working on new material for next exhibition, which I am very happy with so far.
Also fascinated with windows right now - see my landscapes gallery and send an email with any comments.
I really am starting to work on uploading my photographs onto this site. Promise! ... Kate
2010 - April 12
I am back. As of this month I am finally able to focus 100% of my time on my photography, my vocation. At last! Like many artists for some time I have needed another source of income to supplement my photography but as of 1 April I am now able to dedicate my time fully. A landmark! So I am currently reviewing my negatives and will print those I have never had a chance to print. I will also get busy scanning and publishing my photographs here on the website. Over the Easter period I visited the BluesFest in Byron Bay and was able to photograph many of the musicians. Yesterday, David Roberts and I photographed the Blues Preachers - the negs look good and I hope to publish a photograph or two before the end of the month. Recently too I have been visiting "505", a new Jazz venue in Surry Hills in Sydney - see the image of Cameron Undy and Julien Wilson in the Music, Theatre, Dance gallery. I have also been photographing some of the interesting people of Potts Point - see Vittorio of Piccolo Bar - a recognisable character, he has been making coffee in Kings Cross for over 40 years. Kate
